What does Insights cost?
Pricing is custom because team size, the number of BC environments you run, and whether you want AI insights or custom report development all change the answer. We scope it on the 20-minute walkthrough and send a written quote within one business day. No annual contract required.
Does Insights need access to my BC environment?
Yes — read-only is enough for most reports. We connect via standard BC authentication and queries run live against your environment. You can revoke access at any time from inside BC.
What if a template doesn’t cover the report I need?
Pro includes custom report development as part of the plan. If you’d rather pay for a single one-off custom report without a subscription, we also do that as a fixed-price build — see /custom-reports.
Who sets it up — us or you?
We do. The walkthrough is us showing you Insights live. Once you sign on, we provision your workspace, connect it to your BC environment, and load the templates. You’re running reports the same day setup is done.
How is this different from Power BI, Jet Reports, or native BC reports?
Native BC reports are Microsoft-built and rigid — you get what ships in the box. Power BI is powerful but expects someone on your team to know DAX and model the data. Jet Reports lives in Excel and pulls IT in every time something changes. Insights is the plain-English path: ask a question, get the chart, against live BC data, no SQL, no DAX, no Excel chain.
What does the walkthrough actually cover?
20 minutes. We show Insights running live against scenarios that match the reports you need. You see what plain-English queries look like, what the templates do out of the box, and what would need a custom build. After the call you get either a written proposal or a clean ‘this isn’t the right fit.’ No drip sequence either way.
